About Brian
Brian Limoges is the founder of Kairos Alignment, a coaching and advisory practice shaped by more than two decades in business leadership.
His career has taken him from buying and merchandising roles to enterprise leadership across retail, consumer products, and direct-to-consumer commerce. At organizations including Backcountry, Eddie Bauer, Burton Snowboards, and evo, Brian has led teams, developed commercial strategies, built operating capabilities, and worked across functions and markets to turn ideas into action. Most recently, as Vice President of Retail at evo, he helped set direction for the international business while leading its U.S. stores and contact center.
Those experiences reinforced something Brian now brings to his work with clients: consequential decisions are rarely only technical. They also involve people, assumptions, values, systems, and competing definitions of success. Through coaching, he creates space for clients to develop their own insight and agency. Through advisory work, he brings his business experience more directly to the challenge at hand.
Learning and inquiry
Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. He has completed an ACC-level coach education pathway and is now undertaking PCC-level coach education, while accumulating the coaching hours needed to apply for an International Coaching Federation (ICF) credential. He also completed Stanford LEAD, a yearlong online executive education program at Stanford Graduate School of Business. Brian is a Doctor of Business Administration student at Case Western Reserve University’s Weatherhead School of Management (Class of 2029).
His developing interests include leadership, organizational health, discernment, and the relationship between human flourishing and performance. Kairos Alignment is where these threads meet: a practice for helping people respond intentionally to the opportunities before them, and a home for the questions and ideas Brian continues to explore through client work, doctoral study, research, and writing.
The thinking behind Kairos
What are we assuming? What do we value? What is the situation asking of us? Who else is affected? What might become possible if we understand the question differently?
These questions matter in personal decisions and in organizational ones. A leader’s choices shape other people’s experiences; a business plan succeeds or fails within a living system of relationships, constraints, and competing priorities. Kairos holds space for both the person and the wider context.
Clarity, however, is not the destination. The work moves toward intentional action: choosing a direction, taking a step, learning from what happens, and remaining open to what becomes visible next. In coaching, the client retains authorship of that direction. In advisory work, Brian contributes his experience and recommendations while staying attentive to the people and realities that will shape the outcome.
This is a developing philosophy, informed by Brian’s leadership experience, coaching practice, and doctoral study. It will continue to evolve through inquiry and application. Its enduring question is how people can act with greater integrity and help create conditions in which both people and performance can flourish.
